Architecture Technology Corporation (ATCorp), an award winning workplace, has an opening in our Washington, DC office for a Senior Systems Engineer.
If you would rather spend your work day alone or in an office with your headphones on, this is not the job for you.
We are looking for smart, passionate, and motivated people who want to align themselves with an industry leader in the aviation realm. In this position, you can expect to provide systems engineering expertise and support to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
Our Systems Engineers work with private and government entities in developing advanced engineering techniques and methodologies from the fields of systems engineering. We provide safer skies for our nation's travels by applying creative forward thinking ideas to; air traffic control systems, terminal radar approach control systems, en-route systems, enterprise architecture, network design, system and network management, fault tolerance, and performance engineering.
Our ideal candidate is knowledgeable, team-oriented and mission-driven. You want to do work that is rewarding and matters. You share our mission of assisting the FAA in maintaining the safest, most efficient aerospace in the world. You are viewed as a leader by your peers and you have an understanding of the FAA engineering processes and the National Airspace System (NAS).
Architecture Technology Corporation (ATCorp) was founded in 1981 to provide publications, seminars and consulting to the then new Local Area Network industry. Many of ATCorp's core people—coming from industry leaders such as Sperry, Honeywell, and Lockheed—were pioneers in the application of LAN technology and hold several key patents in distributed systems technology.
ATCorp's business expanded from writing and running seminars to providing systems engineering services and consulting on the design and construction of computer networks. One of ATCorp's first major contracts came from the Volpe Center in Boston, which was leading the Federal Aviation Administration's efforts to develop next generation traffic control systems at the nation's airports.
ATCorp has now performed more than 50 projects for the FAA, ranging from terminal and tower automation to runway safety. We continue to support the FAA—having developed, over 30 years, a broad and deep understanding of the National Airspace System architecture and its operations. We have provided software development and specialty engineering services to industry leaders such as Ford and Boeing.
